The men, still in teams, are driven to a remote location in the middle of the woods, where the Brawny Man greets them. He then asks if any of them would be able to provide and protect for their families in the event of an emergency. When no one answers, he explains that day's challenge: a race consisting of navigating the forest while following a set of clues to sharpen their outdoor savvy along the way. The men then take off, hustling to build a tent, kayak along a river, and perform other tasks while racing against the clock. The losing team of this challenge is then forced to spend the night in the shelter they built, while the winners get a party back at the winners' cabin.
