Rethink Afghanistan War (Part 5): Women of Afghanistan
Digg this video: digg.com Eight years have passed since Laura Bush declared that "because of our recent military gains, women are no longer imprisoned in their homes" in Afghanistan. For eight years, that claim has been a lie. The truth is that American military escalation will not liberate the women of Afghanistan. Instead, the hardships of war take a disproportionate toll on women and their families. There are 1000 displaced families in a Kabul refugee camp, and they're suffering for lack of food and blankets. A few weeks ago, you generously gave 00 to help and 00 more is needed to take care of all 1000 families. Thats a donation of per family to provide the relief necessary for their survival. Here's what your money will buy: * 5 kg (11 lb) ghee = .00 * 4 kg (8.8 lb) rice = .00 * 50 kg (110 lb) flour = .00 * A middle quality blanket = .00 * A middle quality tent carpet = .00 Donate: www.afghanwomensmission.org Learn more: rethinkafghanistan.com

Let's Play: Lost Odyssey - Part 51 - "Refuge With the Refugees"
Human life! At last! Now that we're reunited with Cooke and Mack, we'll be going to the Gohtzan Refugee Camp. Since this is a new area, let's see what it has to offer for our team. There's various tents to explore before moving on. Start by going to the right of the area to loot a pot for [5 Loud Bells], and then go into the Storage Tent. There's a Ringmaker here if you'd like some of his custom rings, and a Merchant. Loot the lot for [4 Monster Bird Plumes] and then speak to the trader. He'll ask you to kill a creature called Don Laploss who has been causing all sorts of troubles for the refugees. This is totally optional and the trader will still sell you things if we choose not to.. but of course we will take care of that momentarily. Go back out and start going through the other tents. The lodging tent homes a chest with the spell [All-Shieldus], and that's honestly about it for that. Loot the pot next to the tent for an [Anti-Paralysis Herb], and then go to the Medical Tent. Give the Pipot your seeds, and if you've collected all the seeds in this game so far - you should have 80 total. There's a guy in the middle bed who should give you treasure hunt information. If you can't trigger it, just go out and come back. Now that all the tents are looted, there's another pot out here for another [Seed] on the other side of the lodging tent. You can now go up the hill here for another pot with [1000g]. Speak to one of the men up here to agree to deliver a letter to his ...

Terra Marketing Group Takes A Stand Against Spam
The Canadian Internet marketing company is known for finding holes in existing marketplaces, improving the products and services being offered and then gaining a dominant position in the marketplace. This strategy has helped them grow from a small startup in November 2009 into a large company with more than 250 employees today.
Officials from Terra Marketing Group said the secret to their success is that they have always been dedicated to ethical business practices. But, they feel it is just as important for other companies to behave honestly; otherwise people will lose confidence in the online marketing industry, which will hurt everyone involved. Terra Marketing Group said that email ethics are particularly important, since people use email more often than any other online activity. However, it is also the one that is most often abused.
Spam emails do more to erode confidence in online shopping than any other deceptive practice. As such, they issued what they consider a set of guidelines for email promotions.
Firstly, only send emails to people who have agreed to be contacted by your company. You should always give them a way to opt out of your messages, and you should never sell your list to third parties because you have no way of knowing if they will behave ethically.
Secondly, emails should not be sent too often; otherwise they will get ignored or go to people's spam basket. Thirdly, it should be very clear where exactly an email is coming from. It's easy to mask your sending address, but that will destroy consumer confidence. Finally, your subjects and headlines should always honestly reflect what is in the body of the email. They concede that an exciting subject or headline can get people to open and read your email, but note that if people don't see what they expected to see, they will just trash it and, more likely than not, never open one of your emails again.
Terra Marketing Group said that they feel if everyone in the Internet marketing industry stuck to these very basic standards that sales, confidence and profits would skyrocket for everyone involved. If not, they said, email marketing may eventually cease to be a way to generate sales without expensive online advertising.

I apportioned the meat into three meat baggies. Loaded one into my pack, got a bearing on camp and tried getting there by going downhill to the canyon bottom and wending along it, hoping it would bend toward camp. No go. The canyon wound to north; camp was east. So I had to climb out anyway. Arriving at camp, I hung the one meat baggie, pared down the pack and headed back up for the other two. I took the trekking poles this time, which were immensely helpful in negotiating such steep terrain in snow. I dined that evening on elk tenderloin cooked on the woodstove, which is my tradition following a kill, enhanced by a side of cous-cous with a dash of powdered miso soup. Yum.

Nova Scotia Properties
One of the main elements that are best defining the Nova Scotia area or province of Canada is the fact that it is one of the three main Maritime provinces here, as well as the second-largest province on the Canadian soil, if we are to analyze its population of over 950,000, according to the 2009 census. If you are giving the thought of moving here your serious consideration, you might be willing to also find out a few basic things about this peculiar area as well.
Any Nova Scotia real estate agent who has done his homework and who has a long history working with the people and the properties here should be able to let you in on all the unspoiled traditions that are still to be discovered here. If you are a big fan of rustic surroundings and if natural history is something you are truly passionate about, you are definitely going to find Nova Scotia real estate a true gold mine or a genuine God-send.
If your origins are Scottish, you could join the large ethnic group of people who mostly live here and return to your ancestral roots.Halifax is an amazing city you could take into consideration, should you be planning on moving or relocating here. Halifax real estate agents need to be well-prepared to tell you all about the utter important role of the critical economic centre that Halifax represents for the region of Nova Scotia. If you possess real estate Halifax properties and you are thinking about placing them on the market, you could ask for the help of a couple of Halifax real estate agents who seem to know what they are doing and who are trustworthy. Set up some appointments with them and Interview them, so that you can know for a fact that you have chosen the best people for the job.
Do not consider going through all the motion by yourself, as the Halifax real estate market can prove to be quite overwhelming, due to all the properties that are for sale there, and which are going to represent your high competition. Let a Halifax or a Nova Scotia real estate agent do his job while you sit back and enjoy the end-results.Why would anyone be interested in buying your Halifax property, anyway? Simply because of the specific of the economic growth that the people here have been witnessing during recent years, and which has a lot to do with the manufacturing industry, as well as some other similar industries in the area, such as banking, government-related work opportunities or the business industry. The presence of the Halifax Stanfield International Airport in the area, as well as the port or the railway and highways perks that have recently emerged here are all reasons enough for one to be thinking about investing in a Halifax real estate property. In other words, your house or condo has plenty of reasons to find its buyers real soon; as long as you are patient enough and as long as your recently selected and contracted real estate agent Halifax related is going to ask for the right price, the entire process of selling will be a truly successful one.
All in all, a great deal of Halifax real estate agents should be able to provide you with the things you are searching for: tips and guidelines of how to quickly and successfully sell your Halifax real estate property, buy real estate Halifax located or rent some land or office space for your upcoming business in Nova Scotia. Returning to your Scottish roots or simply choosing the area because of it amazing simplicity and well-preserved heritage can also help you seal a great deal here.
The role of Halifax real estate agents in making such an important decision should not be ignored, especially if your experience with this particular area of Canada is not a very rich one, and your real estate buying or selling past is also not a remarkable one either.

Music Video for "Music 4 Machine" by Kalkulus From the debut Indie-Electronica album "The Value of X" Available to buy at www.reverbnation.com Filmed at The Kelvedon Hatch "Secret Nuclear Bunker" "Music 4 Machine" opens rather much in the way of those classic Jean Michel Jarre tunes of the 1970's but there's what seems to be a hammer dulcimer playing along aswell. Then, all of a sudden it all starts to get a bit of a rave beat to it then, hello, before i can blink it turns into what i would describe as a truly inspired and intelligently crafted piece of techno. This would go down a storm in the dance tent at Glastonbury. I love it! Robin Whitlock, Indie-Music.com

A Gathering Storm in New Orleans
New Orleans, LA December 16, 2007— A week after arriving in New Orleans to cover the events William Quigley described in his call to action that laid out the details of the severe housing crisis still affecting New Orleans 2-1/2 years after the city was struck by Hurricane Katrina, many irregularities remain surrounding the Mayor Ray Nagin's policies on the homeless, the displaced and the disenfranchised. Having stayed in a number of places that would probably scare most white people (we can say this because it scared us a little, being a couple middle class white boys) there is the sense of unfamiliarity and uneasiness at being out of one's element, but it is larger and much more foreboding than than. We were struck by the eerie and palpably obscene juxtaposition of people in expensive suits coming and going to City Hall in downtown New Orleans, while literally across the street was a scene directly out of the Grapes of Wrath with people living in tents, under blankets, cardboard and in some cases, even less than that. We ourselves stayed with the homeless overnight, sleeping on cardboard, in the rain, in Duncan Square Plaza. It's a little park directly across the street from the mayor's office in city hall. What we saw and smelled and heard would disgust most people, especially those who live there. Almost unbelievably, many of these people hold full time jobs, have always held jobs and have never asked for a handout but, because of the severe housing shortage and ...
